Katie was born in Cuyahoga Falls and grew up in the Stow/Kent area. Always a food lover, she started her own business in high school called Kate's Kitchen, baking pies, cookies, cupcakes, and other desserts for birthday parties, baby showers, graduations and more.
She graduated from The Columbus Culinary institute at Bradford School. After completing the program she helped open a restaurant called Forno in the short north district of Columbus, starting as a line cook and working her way up to head chef at their sister restaurant - Short North Pint House. Later she worked for Pistacia Vera in German Village where she crafted Parisian style desserts like croissants and macarons.
Upon returning to Northeast Ohio, she worked at 3 Palms Pizzeria in Hudson. Her and her husband have since enjoyed doing small catering events together and making food for loved ones.
We sat down with Katie and asked a few questions so you could 'meet' her. Be sure to stop out to experience her creative, scratch-made approach to food and welcome her to Lost Trail!
